Why we built it to be self-hosted
Because the people who need to ask "how many work orders are still open today" are usually the same people who cannot put work-order data on somebody else's cloud. Manufacturing, healthcare, government, contract fabs — the organisations with the most to gain from an AI that reads their database are the least able to hand that database over.
AnyDB.ai is designed around that contradiction: take the benefit, move none of the data. The whole system deploys as Docker containers on your machine, talks to itself over an internal network, and reaches the outside world only for a licence heartbeat — which carries a machine fingerprint and not one byte of yours.
The source ships with the product; you can read it and change it. And the promise that each release turns into Apache 2.0 after three years is written into the licence rather than into a blog post. When the date arrives it happens, whether or not we still feel like it.
